On
Wednesday week last, at Ohutu, Miss Harriett Moore, third daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. H. Moore, of Kaihu, Northern Wairoa, was married to Mr.
Charles Tewsdate, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. F. Brooke, of
Ohutu. Mr. C. Transom, brother-in-law of the bride, gave her away.
She wore a travelling dress of cloth, hat to match, and carried a
white prayer-book. Four bridesmaids attended her: Misses Maggie
McCurtin, Marion Stroud (niece of the bridegroom), and Emily and
Harriet Transom (nieces of the bride). Mr. H. Brooke was best man
and Mr. G. L. Stroud groomsman. The wedding reception was held at
the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. C. Transom of Ohutu, and in the
evening the guests were entertained with a jolly little dance.
