St.
Mary's Church, Boulcott-street, was, on Monday, the scene of a very
pretty wedding, when Miss Nidd was joined in the bonds of matrimony
to Mr.Lacy. The bride, who was dressed in cream nun's veiling, with
wreath and veil, was attended by three bridesmaids, who wore very
pretty brooches, the gift of the bridegroom, and was attired in white
muslin. The bride was given away by her father, who entertained the
guests at a ball in the evening, om honour of the event. The
bridesmaids were Misses Brady, Gaynor, and Clarke. The Rev. Father
Devoy, assisted by Rev. Dr. Watters and Rev. Father Goggan,
officiated.
James and Margaret settled up the Wanganui River and had a large family:
