Beard Family

Ann Beard was Alister's great great great great grandmother.  She married James Transom in 1790.  Her family line is as follows:

John Beard married Anne some time prior to 1696.  Together they had the following family:
1. Sara Beard (chr. 15 November 1696, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
2. Anne Beard (chr. 4 April 1699, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
3. Elizabeth Beard (chr. 25 July 1704, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
4. Annie Beard (chr. 8 February 1708, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
   and
5. Thomas Beard (chr. 24 July 1702, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire) married Magdalen Turton (chr. 3 January 1707, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire) on 28 April 1732 at St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire.  Together they had the following eight children:
5.1 Joyce Beard (chr. 19 August 1733, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire).  Probably died as a child, prior to the birth, eleven years later, of a second child, also called "Joyce".  
5.2 Frances Beard (chr. 16 January 1734, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.3 Thomas Beard (chr. 11 June 1737, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.4 Eustace Beard (chr. 13 March 1739, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.5 Joyce Beard (chr. 20 November 1744, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.6 William Beard (chr. 18 Ausgust 1746, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.7 Edward Beard (chr. 27 February 1748, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
   and
5.8 John Beard (21 October 1741, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire) married Ann Collins on 30 April 1764 at St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire.  John and Ann had seven children, including Alister's great x 4 grandmother, Ann:
5.8.1 Ann Beard (chr. 7 April 1765, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire).  Ann married 5.8.2 James Transom.  See more about their family here.

5.8.4 Mary Beard (chr. 22 November 1768, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)

5.8.6 Francis Beard (chr. 1 April 1773, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)
5.8.7 Fanny Beard (chr. 6 June 1775, St Leonard, Bridgnorth, Shropshire)

Interestingly. James Transom's grandfather, Andrew Transom (Trensam) also married into the Beard family - marrying Mary Beard - so James' grandmother was also a Beard.  I have pondered as to whether or not this person was also a forebear of Ann Beard?
