Richard Churchill was one gentleman who worked for Mr David Wemyss. He was born around 1850, and was from Wellington. He was found dead in his bed on the morning of 21 November 1885, presumably from heart disease. Apparently an inquest took place as a result of his sudden death. He was survived by his widow, Eliza Mary Churchill (nee Francis) (1848 - 1940), who he had married in 1875, and he also left four young children:
1. Sarah Eliza Churchill (1875 - 1958). Sarah died unmarried.
2. Ernest William John Churchill (1877)
3. Percival Richard Churchill (1880 - 1943). Married Lena Sophia Petersen (1891 - 1948) in 1916.
4. Arthur Albert Churchill (1885 - 1958). Married Daisy Elizabeth Pepperill (1890 - 1973) in 1911.
Eliza Churchill remarried in 1900 to Frank Merrin.
